Aggie will be reviewing applicants for our clinical psychology PhD program, for applicants hoping to begin in fall 2027! Scholars interested in trauma-focused interventions, rural health, and/or community engagement are especially encouraged to apply.
Hi! I am a clinical and community psychologist. I lead the Community Health Outreach, Relationships, & Action Lab (CHORAL). I am passionate about improving engagement in and effectiveness of trauma-focused interventions and interpersonal violence prevention, especially for youth. This requires partnering with community organizations and considering the role of settings and community-level influences. Current and upcoming projects emphasize rural health and wellbeing.
My research emphasizes community engagement and mixed methods approaches. My clinical expertise is in trauma-focused interventions for youth and caregivers (e.g., Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), socio-sexual health education for autistic youth and families (e.g., Relationships Decoded, adapted for youth), and couples therapy (e.g., Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy).
