The Diversity Committee in the Department of Psychology is pleased to announce the addition of Jaymes Durriseau to the Graduate Student Diversity Committee. Jaymes is a graduate student in the Cognitive Science program. He joins Mary Rogers, Erica Szkody, and Jenna Kilgore, all graduate students in the Clinical Psychology program.
The Diversity Committee would also like to draw your attention to several activities on campus related to diversity and inclusion. First, September 15-October 15 is National Hispanic Heritage Month at MSU. There are still several workshops and events upcoming, including a lecture on "Scratching Out a Living: Latinos, Race, and Work in the Deep South" being held on October 2 at 5:30 pm in 1030 Old Main. Starting September 30th, the exhibition entitled "UNPACKED: Refugee Baggage" will be on display at the Cullis Wade Depot Art Gallery in the Union at Mississippi State University. Finally, in honor of National Coming Out Day, Gender Studies is sponsoring a talk by Dr. Baker Rogers, formerly of MSU, currently Asst. Professor at Georgia Southern University. The talk will be held at room 401 on the 4th floor of Griffis Hall on Thursday, October 17 at 6:00 pm.
